Exciting News!

Dear Friends,

As the Executive Director of St. Joseph’s Family Center, I am delighted to inform you of a significant development in our ongoing efforts to address poverty-related challenges in our communities.

After careful consideration and collaboration, St. Joseph’s Family Center and the South County Compassion Center have decided to forge a closer alliance. This decision represents a pivotal moment in our shared mission to make a greater impact in South County.

Tim Davis, the Executive Director of the South County Compassion Center, shares in my excitement for this partnership. Together, we are deeply committed to leveraging our collective resources and expertise to tackle the devastating effects of poverty on families and individuals in our region. Our joint vision is ambitious, yet essential.

The decision to merge our resources is rooted in our organizations’ extensive experience serving South County. With over 60 years of combined service, both St. Joseph’s Family Center and the South County Compassion Center have been local pillars of support for those in need. St. Joseph’s Family Center has been at the forefront of food assistance, homeless prevention, supportive housing, and other safety-net services – and is founding member of the Emergency Assistance Network; the South County Compassion Center has played a pivotal role in aiding the unhoused population, facilitating their transition to permanent housing, and providing on-site outreach and services.

We can offer more comprehensive support to individuals facing poverty in South Santa Clara County by combining our efforts. This collaboration ensures the long-term stability of our united agency and enhances our capacity to create meaningful change.

I want to assure you that this integration will not impact the accessibility of our programs for those in need. Our clients will continue to have direct access to the same services and staff they have relied on in the past. Your unwavering support remains invaluable to our mission, and we are profoundly grateful for your dedication.

Thank you for standing with us as we embark on this collaborative journey and strive to become the premier resource for poverty alleviation in South County.

Sincerely,

David Cox
Executive Director
