Emergency Utility Assistance

St. Joseph’s Family Center provides utility assistance to low income individuals or families on to help with a PG&E payment in the event of a financial hardship.

Key Terms and Conditions:

  • You may be asked to demonstrate that you are able to pay your next PG&E bill without further assistance.
  • The amount of money requested on your application is subject to approval by the Director.
  • Check will be mailed directly to PG&E.

 

1. Provide Valid Photo ID

2. Verification of Income

  • Check stub (recent date only)
  • TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families) letter showing income
  • Social Security check stub or letter
  • Unemployment check stub or letter
  • Worker’s Compensation check stub

3. Verification of Local Address

4. Verification of all dependents living in household

5. You will be required to present a money order or a receipt from PG&E for your portion of the bill, before we can issue a check to cover our pledged amount.
